How good is the BMW Warranty? (Shell / Engine Issues Covered?)

Hi Guys,

Just wondered how people rated the BMW warranty? Obviosuly a friendly dealer helps but if you had a totally standard car (and always has been) on 70,000 miles, full BMW service history at the same BMW garage all its life how would they treat a car should issues such as; head gasket, cracking subframe, diff play?

Obvioulsy the car is 'getting on' at 70k

so just wondered if they'd use the age card or would be pretty good at rectifying any serious issues that might appear?
