Depends what type of buyer, if it is someone who is going to do minimal miles as a collector then matching numbers original car is going to be far better and worth much more in the future. Look at 964RS with and without original engine, huge difference in price.

I would buy one with a new engine over one without depending on price
My engine was replaced with what looked like oil starvation on the exhaust cam and wear in the bores the big ends looked fine. Just my view on this after all my car is for sale and has a new engine ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If you want the car for what it was intended - to be driven, then a car with a new engine for whatever reason would IMO be preferable over a car with the original, particularly if has been replaced under warranty by a Dealership.
It's the next best thing to buying it new, albeit used. ![]()
