AP Service
How often do you service your AP callipers.
I'm just getting mine done, again and again there is an issue, albeit a small one I know you are meant to get them serviced if they get to a certain temp but I'm guessing not many do send them off to get them serviced. Jim will tell you the temps.... Last edited by s.mac; 24-10-2012 at 10:10 PM. |

I voted once every 2 years for full strip.
But I used to thoroughly clean them on the car every couple of months. Just sold my Alcon kit off my car and they are still like new. |

I have a problem with one of the rears, I am waiting for a call back to find out exactly what's happened, but I do remember Jim telling me they need to be serviced if they hit a certain temp.
That is a lot of track days Shimmy, I would be getting them checked out. I think its about 2 years since I had mine done with only a couple of hard days use, that's why I'm a bit peeved something happened to the back ones. I only sent them off again as the pads were hard to get in, the pad retainers and calliper had a bit of corrosion in between, which pushed the retainer enough to make it tighter, maybe due to lack of use. |

Not done mine yet after 4 years of having them and they are still fine - touch wood!
My car hasn't been used much this year, however, so i may look into getting them done for next year.

Going to get mine serviced this winter as part of my tidy up of the car, they have only been on the car 2 years, but I bought them 2nd hand so it's probs worth giving them a once over.
