Ive been looking into this and the top tyre manufacturers say about 6 years is the life of a tyre, after this they start to go hard and brittle and are unsafe. So I would think after 9 years they have had it

Id guess they would be ok for road use. I ran 2003 ones a couple of years ago and they were fine. If you are going to venture out onto track then id say get fresh ones.

Depends how they've been stored, if they have been away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, they will have a better chance of being ok. I'm sure Michelin will have good ozone protectant bulit into their compounds.

I will most probably not use it for track but i might be doing a few higspeed runs, and that worries me more... Half price but maybe not a good idea.

i dont think any issues with safety on older tyres, just that rubber gets a bit hard

if you look at all the supercar owners i bet most have on original tyres as cars do so few miles, and no issues
