Whats the general state of the car market right now? I have done precisely nothing with any car since October of last year apart from have to pay out for insurance, MOTs etc....
so I was thinking of selling the CSL, and then of course the great debate of whether to replace the interior and sell it as a "nice car" or leave it as it is and sell it as a trackday weapon. Anyhow, if anyone has an opinion on whether something like a CSL will still attract buyers let me know. No point selling it for peanuts, may as well SORN and keep for a rainy day (year). |

I'd say keep it, you don't need to sell it.
Then again you have other cars that keep your interest more so if it isn't going to get used let it go

Unfortunately I just recently sold mine. Miss it already :-(
It was on pistonheads for 2 weeks and I had 3 offers. I was just checking in to see if the new owner has announced himself yet!! |

I think the uber modified cars have a much smaller audience. Those guys just buy race cars I think so it would probably sell easier with stock interior etc.
The only mods that add value are AP's/Intrax/nice exhaust etc stripped out interiors would have a very limited appeal imo |

yep, I think last time I looked at selling the advice was to return the interior to standard.
So, excellent condition CSL with CSL Cup (Alcon) brakes, Intrax suspension and full supersprint system. Has all the right tickboxes but suspect my asking price will be too much. I just don't use the thing. In terms of "whats more fun?" - well I'd buy an Atom. Pointless having two "road based" cars - as we all know, road based cars are a compromise. May as well have something completely unsuitable for taking out the wife, nipping to the shops, driving in the rain etc, but completely grin-worthy on a weekend blast or trackday. My GT2 - haven't seen that since October, its in storage. Although I'm picking it up tomorrow to take to Nurburg in July with a friend...... ![]() |
