CSL & options - what is worth a premium?
I know it really depends on the country to know which option / color / material is worth a premium, but I wanted to get the question out there.
I am studying very closely buying a CSL, and I wonder what you would pay a premium for? Here is a list of the options : Exterior color - SG or SB - no premium either way in my opinion. I would prefer a SG thought Mileage - worth a premium of low Maintenance - not worth a premium if done in time General shape - of course, worth a premium if excellent No cost options
Mileage - worth a premium of low Maintenance - not worth a premium if done in time General shape - of course, worth a premium if excellent So, if I would get the perfect car : option less low mileage excellent condition SG. That would be worth a premium. What are your thoughts on what would add / remove value of a car? Input is appreciated :-) Regards, Florian |

In my opinion, the PDC removes value.
It looks way better without it. |

You mean the butt dimples? Yeah, doesn't look to good, but god is it practical!
I don't want it on my future CSL either, but if I found the right one and it comes with the PDC, I wouldn't mind it too much!

Aircon depends on where you live, and when you use the car!

Agree, but for some reason I find the csl too hot when I have no problem with our other car. Don't know if it's true, but someone said there is less bulk head insulation, hence more heat soak. Someone will be along soon to put that correct that myth.

Are there any production numbers out there with the options that were chosen? Or will BMW never release them? It would be interesting to know which is rare. I see a lot of cars with aircon & radio, which makes me think it is a very common option. Florian.

CSL Register Uber-poster!
|
My car has aircon xenon lights auto wipers and rear sensors
But i would not buy a csl without aircon all the other options are a bonus but not worth more the big difference is miles and owners if you are looking at prices. It is also a big thing that the running in service was before 2000 miles or if the car ever needs warranty on the engine bmw will not cover it. And SB is faster thats why i sold my last 2 SG CSLs |

Bmw told us the CSLs were built to order so they would take them out the production line thats why they cant number them as they were not built in one run. There was only 100 SB CSLs in the UK |
