top speed

as anyone discovered how far out the speedo is? nearly 170 is only 158!!
i take it thats it if the top speed limiter is still there

174MPH is a real 164mph 10mph out on my road angel
and thats my csl with the speed limiter

My old csl done 182mph on the speedo

Similar to Mark, i've had 175mph indicating on speedo which showed as 164mph true on Garmin GPS whilst on an Autobahn in the summer.

I still had about 1500rpm left though (stage 1 tune) so could have squeezed a few more mph out of it had i not run into 'slower' 120mph traffic...!

when I had my Csl stock, car was retricted at 157mph (gps) back from the ring on the autobahn in the german Rürh on my way to belgium, I had 305km/h (ruffly 189mhp) and 297k true speed on the tomtom gps (185mph) and during an other try around 175mph I got passed by a red bullet, a 996 ou 997 tuned by RUF, I just saw the RUF badge..... and car disappeared. he was easelly over 200mph...

Other than shipping the ECU over to BMW Germany - how else can i have the top speed limiter removed?? Does it come as part of the package when you have a remap?? Or can you just have the limiter removed on its own??

Any re-map will/can remove the speed limiter.

Or, if you want, a tuner can just remove the limiter and leave the map alone.
