Default I knew there was something about this guy...

from when I first heard him casually chatting away on the BBC at the NW200 this year and building his own steam powered shower on a Barge there was something dead on about him.

He owned a CSL!

‘I had a BMW E46 CSL when I was 21,’ Guy tells us. ‘It was a great car. I thought the Porsche GT3 RS would be better, but it was too hardcore. I couldn’t even fit my helmet in the back, because of the rollcage and fire extinguisher. It might have been faster on a lap of Donington, but on the roads around here it wasn’t. And it screamed at you – the red wheels, the red stripes… So I got rid'

I wonder who has it now...

Just read that it was in the Magazine last year so apologies if it's a repost.

I live on the Isle of Man and during this years TT I was waiting at a set of lights in my CSL dropping down onto the promenade - Guy and his girlfriend pulled up next to me on their mountain bikes- I could see him looking at the car and gesturing to his g/f to have a look so I put the window down and ended up havin a chat with him - even when the lights went to green I pulled off slowly so we could continue our discussion- he said he loved em etc etc and then asked me to give it the beans which I of course did- looking back in my rear view I remember seeing him almost jumping of his peddles with delight at the noise- I had mates in the car and it made our night- to think he had just jumped of his superbike after a TT practice session and was then wanting to hear the CSL being booted shows what a top bloke and true petrol head he really is.

I have a few pics my mate took whilst we were chatting through the window which I will dig out and post.
