I've actually told other people the same thing on a different site mate, you can't properly do matt effects easily in photoshop.
To do it properly would take an age (mostly blur effects, but of course you would have to trim out each panel and crease so they don't blur themselves). It's a beyatch.

Lol. You spend 15 years training in design and marketing for starters
Actually it's not that hard. All you need to do is save yourself time by knowing what 'not' to do. For example, changing the colour of the green one is absolute pish easy. There's no other strong green colours in the image. So you simply 'select' that colour, go to 'replace colour' and change the hue of that specific green on the image to whatever you want. The picture Lawsy supplied it different, as the grey is found throughout the picture. So you have to cut out all the parts you want to change the colour of, trim out things like bonnet vents, badges, lights etc... then play around with the curves of the image (you can't simply add brightness, as all the shades of grey then disappear... you only want one level of grey to increase in level). Bobs your uncle, as they say.

Now if you could do that in matte black my decision would be far easier, and beer tokens would be in the post tomorrow morning. That white looks stunning, thanks for doing that |
