Have you tried posting it through the boot/rear seats. This is what i do with mine. Luckily it doesn't come out often, not even for trackdays

We have a Jane car seat that fits snugly rearwards. You can attach it with an ISOFIX base unit for facing forwards. I can also just squeeze it behind the front buckets without touching/scratching anything!
It is designed to interchange with the Jane Slalom Pro buggy set for complete flexibility! (i don't work for Jane by the way but this product is good!) http://www.johnstonprams.co.uk/cat168_1.htm http://www.johnstonprams.co.uk/item1545.htm P.S. we don't have the ISOFIX mount yet so can't comment on it's suitabilty for the CSL rear seats.

I have a britax and a recaro in the back of mine - just manage to get the britax through - that suitable from 6 months to 3 yrs - the recaro is suitable from 3 - 9ish I think.
I have removed the plastic arm rest in the middle of the back seat as that was in athe way a bit. Also have a maxi cosy one - it is massive and really heavy - havn't even tried to get that in the back but don't reckon it will fit. |

Just to bring this back from the dead, I've got a 3 year old who will be sometimes travelling with her pops in the (hopefully) newly acquired car. I'm trying to find a seat that works best (as in, does its job but also looks nice in the car and doesn't add much weight.. it is a lightweight car after all)
I've been looking at the Recaro expert plus, with the isofix base, but from experience the isofix systems are stupendously heavy... but flat. The non-isofix will cut into the seats quite badly even with covers. Any new people got child seats in the back of theirs, that go in and look OK? |

This is our britax in the car. Has been there for 3 years now. I can get it in and out either through the boot, or by pushing one front seat back and the other all the way forward and then posting it between the two of them. It's easier this way than trying to get it between the seat and the door pillar

Thanks Paul, I'll check out the Britax range. Is one of the worries, getting it in and out after seeing how little the seats actually move!

I have a Recaro Young Sport in mine, its not Isofix but really like the way it looks and it fits through the back of the seat and B pillar.
Got this one in the M3 (with CSL seats mind you) And this one in the Mini
