Default First time on track with the CSL

Took the car to Bedford Autodrome yesterday. Didn't plan on going on track as I was going with a few mates to watch them on track, but ended up taking part. I cannot believe how good the car is on track, I didn't even have cups on and the mechanical grip is unreal.

I did a few laps with an instructor sat next to me which made me realise how much faster I could go . I then let the instructor do a couple of laps with me in the passenger seat. It was good to see what the car can do in the hands of a instructor/race driver

There was two other CSL's there, don't think they are on the forum though. One of them was running full slicks

I think I need to get some CSL cup brakes though as after about 2-3 laps the brakes were fading

I must of been running on fresh air when I left the track as the trip was showing ----. Filled up at the garage just down the road and managed to get all on 64 litres in the tank!!!! Always thought the tank held around 60 litres

The car was great all day until the last few laps I got the drivelogic light on the dash (see pic below). The handbook tells you there is a fault on the drivelogic system but does not tell you what the problem is. When I come back into the pits and left the car cool down for a bit the light didn't come back on when I restarted. Anyone else had this light come on? If so what was the problem?

SMG fault, it can be from trackwork. Worry if it comes on and stays on...

my cog lit up last year and 2 months later the gears started slipping 3 to 4 and needed new gearbox, but that could have been coincidence

I have had a new (well second hand with 7,000 miles on it) gearbox for this very problem, but it didn't solve it. I'm going back in tomorrow to get the hydraulics changed, supposedly the rod that actually changes gear can become worn and we're hoping that's the problem.

What sort of experience are you getting from the 3rd gear change?
