Default Sagging Roof Lining - replacing the material

My car has lived in a hot environment for most of its life and the roof lining material had started to sag from the C pillar corners and the C pillar material had come away from the plastic mould.

I have bought a complete set of new A and B pillars and I had a vein hope that I might have been able to re-glue the headlining, but after researching it it is the foam backing that disintegrates causing the fabric to drop, so I pulled the headlining out of the car yesterday and found just this. Not a big job, but one I didn't really want to do. The underside of the roof looks magnificent by the way, the hand written QA label is still there too.

Surprise surprise the roof linings are NLA and I have contacted the company that made them for BMW https://www.antolin.com/en/business-overheads but hold no hope at all of finding the original material. It appears that most recommend the US company Vetranco BM134 fabric as being about 99% the same https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/...1088753/page-4

Anybody sourced any material before, I will strip and reapply the material myself.

I can post photos if there is any interest.

So I have the lining out of the car which isn't hard, but there is a fair bit too it. All the pillar trims need to be removed, the alarm volumetric sensor and the coat hooks. The hardest part by far was getting the rear C pillar lights out of the trim to get to the screws holding them in. The roof lining can twist out the passenger's door with the seats right back.

I have peeled the material off and the foam has disintergrated and gone an orange colour. I cleaned the foam off the shell of the liner with a standard household scrubbing brush and it came off really easy.

The board is now fully clean and I hope to have the new liner applied in the next week or so.

I tried to upload photos, but the site says that they aren't valid?

So I have had the new material applied and put the car back together. It has come up very well.
