Default Flappy Paddle Fault

Up paddle failed to change gear yesterday. Used gear stick and straight after paddle worked again. Happened once before last year.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Usually happens when i'm turning at junctions, go for up shift from 1st to 2nd(using paddle) but it sometimes doesn't shift, reverting to stick to 2nd then paddle shifts up to 3rd when the front axle is pointing straight.

Doesnt always do it but when it happens it is once only then all is well

Paddle Micro switches need renewing or cleaning.

It's an easy enough DIY job to change the microswitches (at least once you pluck up courage to remove the airbag). Did it on my previous M3.
