Bye bye CSL, hello standard 'tame' M3
My wonderful CSL will be going soon… my little 9 year old daughter cried quite a bit over that fact. Here she is ready for the new owner to enjoy.
Not sold yet but once the days get longer I'm sure she will go... I may shed a tear. It's been 40,000 miles of pure joy, fun, excitement, including spending the night in her in an over night traffic jam on the snowed up A23. Thank you to Jason from here for selling her to me and thanks for all the people on here who make the car feel even more special. You fanatics are bloody great. As this was my first M3 I thought I should try the standard version and one came up for sale 7 miles from me last night at 8pm, I called and chatted loads to the owner who had spent a fortune on her. After talking for a while I made a deposit last night and collected her today. I prefer to buy privately as you get a real feel for the car by speaking to the person who has owned it. The guy was a M3Cutters member (no bad comments please) and a true enthusiast. He spend 1 ½ hours cleaning the car this morning before I showed up… even though the car was already clean. All the typical M3 problems have been sorted and she is fully loaded. The guy I purchased from kindly drove it to my house so I let him drive my CSL back to his house… you should have seen his face when I pressed the sport button and he put his foot down! He was happy to have made a sale and then have a go in the CSL. She’s the same colour as my CSL. Here’s some pics of her, some with the CSL. I will miss the CSL when she goes but at least I have a new ‘tame’ version of the epic E46 to enjoy. The E46 is such a lovely machine. |

This is probably exactly what I will have to do one day when I need the cash. Looks a great example, I fancy a LSB one myself I think, perhaps without the crazy blue interior though :D
Good work, sir. |

Those crazy blue interiors are more porn star than my new red one!

Haha yeah quite. Glad to hear the M3 lad enjoyed his drive. I've only driven two I think and I remember the experience being "hey cool yeah this is pretty fast" and yet even when I commute in the CSL just as I pass the national speed limit signs it's basically "WHOOOAAAAHHH holy fuckkkkkk" and I giggle for 5 mins.

His face was just like mine the first time I drove it... I'll miss that. |

Space is an issue for me. I shouldn't have bought the DC5, the E46 BMW has got under my skin. |

If I had a bigger drive and garage, I'd keep both along with the old Escort then I'd probably add an E30 M3. Good job I don't have a bigger drive!
