Back in a Datsun
So after flirting with a 997 GT3, I decided to go back to a GTR, which I picked up yesterday. Bought this one from Litchfield (as I did the last one). This one is stage 4, Litchfield suspension, transmission cooler and 400mm brakes with RS29s. I then added the Litchfield upgraded bellhousing and some downpipes for that cheeky bit of flame on the overrun.
I bought the car without having seen or driven it(!). First impressions are: - it's a proper weapon - stage 4 is a little more laggy than stage 2, but meaner at the top end - the LM suspension really transforms the car, makes it more darty and direct - downpipes make it very loud and it's a bit droney at motorway speeds, but worth it for the full throttle banshee noise - the tranny cooler makes a real racket and I doubt I'll really see the benefit unless it's on a track day CSL goes up for sale this week, sadly. Here's a pic. |

Thanks guys. Your cars look sweet. Gurbinder, a big difference between an MY09 and MY11?
Spent a bit of money on upgrading the CSL (brakes, soundsystem) but the possibilities with the GTR are limitless. Thus far, I've got my eyes on some new rims, a bunch of carbon frippery and a wrap. But not in that goddawful blue colour. Thank goodness the stage 4 has already been done. I don't think I could handle more power. |

I was very lucky the MY09 belonged to the owner of Clarion in Malaysia who is a very good friend and is currently for sale, In total I had 5 GTR's ranging from MY10's to MY12 over a 2.5 year period hence why my CSL has only done 14K.

Great car, congratulations! Mine is stage 2 only, wife's daily driver, hence cannot mod. Recently fitted CSL with Kw v3's Simpson settings. Cars really planted, as comfy as stock.
