It does 8.22 iirc on road tyres.
Hi mate,

This is the same discussion time after time.
Cups were designed for the CSL, it came with them from the factory.
The GTS has proper brakes, proper suspension, cage etc.
Shall we also put in the list "M3 CSL on brembo GT brakes, KW clubsport, halfcage" ?
I think you get my point.

I am not saying the 1M is a bad car, quite the contrary.
But it's not what the ///Marketing division is trying to promote that it is.
And in no way it can beat the CSL which is already 8 years old.
Also Andre seems to be a good driver and it's also his profession // driving cars.
But it seems that he is not that fast @ the Ring with the 1M.
The M3 CSL owner is slow (for whatever reason right... maybe he was on the phone with his Mrs, we don't know).
Throwing statements like ". I really doubt the 7.50 CSL ring time the 1M is pretty close already there no 25 sec difference. Mount some pilot sport cups on the 1M and there is not much in it." are a bit silly in such a uncontrolled comparison.

Love to all of you

I never said it was a perfect lap. It s far from that. I had to back off for traffic lots of times and i even had to go off throttle because of an accident.

Taken this in consideration i did about 8 min flat with an off factory 1M. Which is still not fast enough for BTG to beat sport auto time.

But you need a clear track without much traffic to have maximum attack.

I like to see a 7.50 onboard video full lap or a 7.30 BTG Factory CSL lap. Show me please i like to see it.

I agree.............one thing I've learnt this year in my race team is that anybody who calls themselves a 'race driver' on a public forum is a knob

Why is everyone discounting the fact that there was horrendous momentum killing traffic and yellows in a critical place on that lap? Seems clear to me it would have been significantly faster without the hold ups.

I love the 1M. Wouldn't out the CSL for one but there's no doubt it's very capable right out the box. I've said many times if I could I would have one in place of my M3V8 for road use. It's brilliant.
