I would love to do all the relevant work on mine myself, have not been to a dealers for many years, as the concept of paying someone to do half a job, and dent/scratch my car or if i am really lucky both. and still be charged for the ensuing stress and hassle put me off years ago.
As i have found out though , with this type of car , history is everything come resale time, so i feel obliged to pay through the nose once again for the stress involved with letting someone else loose on my car , for simple or more complex jobs. I would like to think the level of service would be better at aBMW dealer ,and the techs are more clued up and have some pride in their work, hope i am not proven wrong on this one. Dave, are you not concerned about the service history on your car lapsing ??

you must be kidding bmw are the worst i have come across there so called teccie's swap parts to try and fix a fault when it does,nt fix it you get sorry mate special order you have to pay for that!!!
it makes me laugh people put so much store by fsh and these,s day's that means 10 or 20k in between services's and they dont change half of it im not selling my car so not worried about fsh i just keep all the bills ie so many ltrs of 10/60 every 5k plus whatever else i buy if i had to pay £700 for a service or £500 for an alternator id be ill for a week |
