Default CSL to GT3

After only a few months in my CSL i've now gone back to Stuttgart metal.

After a few days in my GT3, it really brought home to me how brilliant the CSL is. While it can't match the GT3's outright pace, in terms of all round usability, handling the daily duties and then eating up laps of whatever track you should choose to point it at, it's possibly the most accomplished road car i've ever encountered.

The CSL will be missed, and truth be told, when I have enough garage space, i'll look to pick one up again in the future. Until then, i've got a cracking Mezger flat-6 behind me... it sounds epic

I assume you are talking about the 997 & not the 996. The German mags rated the csl better than the 996.

I chopped my csl in for a 996 gt3 in jan 08.
just bought a csl too.
Its the only car I've ever really missed.
Now I've got both, the gt3 feels very special after driving the csl again but the csl is a car I will never sell as it just has something about it that no other car has

Congraz. and sad at the same time.

How do you find the 997 GT3's ride compared with the CSL? I'm currently looking for a 997 GT3 or an RS version if the ride quality is fine for daily use. Thx.

I keep thinking about selling my CSL and E30 M3 and giving a 996 GT3 ago (or possibly a small bank loan and going for the 996 GT3 rs)

As a purely weekend toy would you chose the 996 over a CSL?

I guess I could always come back if the GT3 didn't live up to expectations.

Drpep - I'm pretty sure I viewed your CSL at BHP. Sadly, it was a more than I budgeted for. Was a mint example!

Still searching for my csl.

Enjoy the GT3

the gt3 certainly feels like more of an event when you get in the proper bucket seats and put the harness on, but the csl is easier to drive than the gt3, especially when if the gt3 has been geo'd for track use
