Default Non standard exhaust and warranty?

Looking for some advice...

My CSL exhaust has developed a rattle at certain revs and i think its the back box, which is standard. The car is under warranty, However, it has Miltek cats and a supersprint mid section.

Firstly, do you know if its covered under warranty and if so will i have any problems with it being non standard?

thanks.

I had a rattle coming from the exhaust a couple of years ago, I had a Milltek fitted.

They (Phoenix BMW, Kirkcaldy) replaced an exhaust bracket for me under warranty, no questions asked.

If you have SS mid section, look at the mid mounting. They have a habit of cracking there. I'll lay money on it being that.

+1

I had to have my Supersprint centre section bracket spot welded recently...

I have also had a spot weld repair done to the small bracket that connects the silencer tips together on the back box - it was only 6 months old at that time!

Thanks for the replies gents.

Just had a quick look and Glendog may have hit the nail on the head...it sounds like one of the chrome tips on the silencer could be slightly loose!!

I will get it over a pit this weekend and check it all out properly.

Cheers.

I tooo have had to weld a few supersprint brackets on two different E46 M3's.

Both where Alex points to,
