Looks like i might be looking for a diff refurb ( they tell me mine is shot, something about excessive movement). I see that you had a refurbished one, do you mind me asking where you had it done ? Thanks |

Who are "they", and how much M3 experience do they have ? For example, some movement,especially in the offside driveshaft, seems pretty normal on cars that are in the 50K+ miles range. Have you got an actual diff-related problem, or was this found in a regular service ?

Sorry, should have mentioned they=murketts.
Tbh i never noticed the problem as its always clonked a bit. They found it when it was in for an oil service. I'm told you can get them rebuilt, just the trick of finding someone to do it. Its going to my local indy for some new discs next week so i'll ask him to have a look too. |
