Default Noise on startup...

After turning the ignition on just before the engine catches ive noticed a slight clunk sound. Its just a split second before it catches, engine doesnt seem to be taking any longer to start though.

Cant recall hearing it before. Any idea what it could be before I visit a dealer?

Starter motor related?

Ive only had the car 4 weeks so it may well be that its normal and has been doing it before, maybe I just havent noticed it.

Thanks in advance.

Most probably SMG pump priming noises.

Thats what I thought. Was just concerned I might have done something. Over-revving it or such like. Cant think when I would have though.

Is it even possible with SMG. or does the box not allow you to change down?

I had an Exige a few years ago so im im used to hearing a noise and wondering whats going to fall off next....

You can't over rev it.

Maybe just take it to garage again and get it checked out.
