Default Something very strange happened yesterday

Was driving my home down the road about 30-40 mph and all of a sudden there were 3 or 4 or 5 beeps in a row, and the whole dash went blank, and then came back to life, with the resettable mileometre and a few other things like the clock reset.

The bottom of my dash brightness has gone faint the last week or so, and then seems to come back brighter again.

Any suggestions?!

Mine did that a couple of times. No idea what it was though.

Mine done the same yesterday as well and that's the 2nd time it's happened. Clock and everything were ok though just as if the backlight was switched off for a couple of seconds.

Weird.

We used to have a Focus ST and it had a problem with the dash lights, guy in Ford said it was something to do with the auto dash dimmer, they used to flick off and on every now and then but it was as quick as a blink so you were always left wondering if it happened or not
