It is at the end of the fastest part of the circuit, if you make it over Avon Rise and the slight left hander there, this corner then catches you out!

Novice drivers turn in too early - then run out of road at the exit. Nearly all of them do it to begin with, but some need to learn the hard way.

Depends in what car you're in really... the instructors will say aim for the middle where the marshalls post is. The natural line is to go as wide as possible, but then you have to set yourself up to brake diagonally in a straightline.

In my Elise i never made the corner no matter what line, so generally just headed straight for the apex.

As said, the crashes are down to mis-timing of braking, normally on the rise just when the car has no grip...

I personally never saw the problem, but then i don't need to brake until after the rise is done, being a fucking legend.

Sounds like QUARRY corner . I have to say I find braking from 135 mph trough Avon Rise (before Quarry) more dangerous, as the surface is bumpy and causes the car to undulate while braking and turning left slightly, upsetting the ABS and the dynamics of the chassis. Maybe it's just me
