Default M3 CSL Sculptures?

Hello,

I came across this website that makes nice car sculptures.

https://www.rareformsart.com/

https://www.instagram.com/rareformsart

He also makes custom works and gave me a quote for a one-off M3 CSL: USD 900.-

He stated that if there was more interest, the price would decrease.

For example, if he got 4 orders, it would be around USD 200.- each.

Would anyone be interested? (I have no affiliation, just thought it was nice)

Cheers,
Alex

I think I’d have to see what the final effort looks like. The idea works fine if your car has:

A: An iconic shape
Or
B: An iconic colour scheme

Preferably both. Now I love the CSL as much as the next man but i’d struggle to argue it’s equipped with either of the above. Especially if the shape is simplified down as per the examples on the original post.

I see what you mean, but I think what makes the CSL interesting, is that despite starting with a classic/standard coupé shape, it has very specific elements:

- Wider fenders
- Front splitters
- "Duck" tail

As for the color sheme, I was imagining that a silver version with a black roof and splitters would be quite characteristic.

Kind regards,
Alex

Same here - would be interested to see a digital prototype if possible.

Thanks for coming up with this idea Alex - I like it.

Hello,

While we wait for a prototype, please find attached an idea of the detail/style of the last 2 renderings.

The artist says that, as stated, he would "exaggerate the flaired fenders, add the unique front splitter, the offset bumper hole, and the csl trunk lip".

I would be very interested in this if we are enough.

Cheers,
Alex

I feel like the road cars don't work as well as the race cars pictured, it makes the lack of wheels more obvious somehow.
