Importing Tyres?

Anyone ever imported tyres? Mine ready for some new rears in about a month, starting to look at prices and the even harder question of which to go for. Mate of mine imports ones for his jeep from the states so thought may be worth a look for the CSL. www.tirerack.com have pirelli pzero nero for $310....so at an exchange rate of 1.95 and with VAT comes to £187. Have to get a quote for shipping but can still see this workign out cheaper....then its a case of bunging the guys down the local tyre place a few quid to have them fitted.

Have asked them for a quote on shipping to the UK so will see what they say!

edit to say...thats for 275/30 19's.

Me and my mate are going to import some in a few weeks, he needs some for his SRT, CSL needs two. Do it as a trial run, see how we get on (should be a big thing as we import stuff all the time) and let you guys know.

do they do mitchi cups in the USA ?

not sure mate, on that link they had all the other popular choices. pzero, ps2, F1 assy etc, I imagine you can get them - just a case of looking in the right place!

The canadian dollar is also weak against the pound at the moment...might have a look there too!

After that programme on C4 the other night...wont be looking to schenzen for some!

about the fake trade in china....literally gone from a fishing village to bigger than NYC in 30 years! Saying that loads of fake goods made there, from toothpicks to trainers! They are pretty much making anything and selling it on! Didnt mention tyres, but some bright spark could well be making them!
