I was curious and also asked AlexK:
Do you have to just remove the radio and put the plate to make it like from the factory? I mean did the cars without the radio come with the speakers and all the cables?

Speakers weren't installed when radio delete was optioned. About the Cables i am not sure, but i would guess that they are always there, whether or not a radio was installed.
Btw. Those Blanking Plates can still be ordered from BMW so they are not rare or anything.
