No, thought about it but saw one for sale and picked one up as part of collection anyway, to go with all the other spares and bits / pieces.

I was curious and also asked AlexK:

Do you have to just remove the radio and put the plate to make it like from the factory?

I mean did the cars without the radio come with the speakers and all the cables?

Speakers weren't installed when radio delete was optioned. About the Cables i am not sure, but i would guess that they are always there, whether or not a radio was installed.

Btw. Those Blanking Plates can still be ordered from BMW so they are not rare or anything.

Blanking Plates could be a good investment , Door cards now 5k each, air box 7k, Driver seat 5k Think I'll sell them and retire,

One could argue that if people wouldnt buy so many parts they wouldn't become so rare and expensive
