Exhaust tip length

Hi guys n gals, a quick random question, If you buy a rear box advertised for an E46 M3, and you have a csl rear diffuser , will your tips sit too far in under the diffuser? I know some people have had problems like this with the scorpion systems, but was wondering if it applies to all rear boxes? And if it don't, then how come they don't sit too far out without a diffuser? The car in question is a csl by the way. Any input welcome! Ps, if anyone looking to sell a decent rear box, please let me know, preferably, single wall tips, not like the Miltek.
