I have an answer, but not one you want to hear

You can't reslove the gaps

I've have the crap type(new) and have tested the old type(cheers s.mac), the old type fit better, these are the ones to have.

I have two that I thought were reps but looking at this thread they may be later type.

They fit so bad at 140moph at Snett they popped out the top edge

Has anyone escalated this issue to BMW? - I would like to believe that a sympathetic senior executive would authorise remaking of the mould (retaining the four hole upgrade - I had a panel beater drill extra holes both sides) and inventory (especially if it was the suppliers mistake)

I have one of the newer ones, and one of the older one and agree with everything that's being said here, the newer ones are PISH! The lip at the top is insufficient and I had to drill two extra holes into my bumper to hold it in place, even then fitment isn't 100%

I test fitted my update set when I still had it and it was fine - but it does need the 4 plastic rivets to hold it secure.

I have noticed however that each splitter seem to be moulded to a particular bumper (I have two bumpers so makes it easier to notice things like these) and swaping one splitter to the other bumper does create fitment issues (i.e doesn't perfectly cover the cut-out in the bumper)

After failing to fit my uk dealer sourced splitters the local Sydney dealer valiantly applied the global parts warranty and ordered another pair. The first additional pair to arrive were identical so they sent pics and a pair with just two holes arrived that bore the same new part stickers but had a shape which is almost identical to the older Slovenian splitters.

Fitted with just two plastic rivets and looks as good

As the part number is the same forall, worth adding the two holes only request to any orders. They having markings for additional drill holes in case you need them.

Sorry, i need to revive this old thread

I have a couple of the old splitters (2 holes) but i want to drill the 2 additional holes from the new design into them.
Does anyone have the exact positions of the new holes? Are there any drawings availiable perhaps from BMW or something.. anything?

I don't want to guess the positions, because when i need some replacement splitters and i were to get the newer 4 hole splitters,
i would need to drill new holes into my shiny bumper again

Thanks guys
