Open driver door turn on the ignition, turn off the ignition, close door and lock by inserting the key into driver door lock and lock.

( if double press of the lock button to turn of the ultrasonics doesn't solve the issue).

So that means I can lock the car with immobiliser on but bonnet and interior alarm are off?

Yes, as the immobiliser is a transponder type, built into the ignition key with a receiver located around the ignition barrel.
