Your safe anyway, ive just had it up on the ramps and its the cats that are blown, cracked around the welds ... new cats please (posting)

Thanks for the info... but I'm still undecided on what to do.

So the best option is a non-resonated pipe effectively keeping it close to standard note?

What I was hoping to do was enhance the standard note.

No differences up to me, I have the SS resonated version, and after a +/- year use around tracks & autobahn's, the rockwool is half done/gone, and noise gets a note over standard setup, (rather like None resonated...)

SS give 2 dB less for the reso Vs the None reso on SS back cat section (probably when all is new) with sport muffler

You have just to consider that Noise restrictions are more and more applied and checked around tracks

With SS header + 100c SS cat + resonated SS Middle section + Rear SS muffler sport model, I'm Between 95.8/96.2 dB

with same configuration and Race muffler you shoud be around 100dB and probably over 100dB with lightweight SS muffler

The ring is 100db Max limit, and many checks are done from our days, and France 90% of the tracks applies the rule of 95db since 2010

i do find SS to sound like a bag of spanners almost embarrising pops n bangs and generally sounds like a nova but when its warm it sings !
