Default Oil service, what oil ??

Hi there,
Just had a quote from my local BMW dealer, (castle BM in York)
apart from being pleasantly surprised at the labour charge (was expecting my pants to be pulled down on that one) the one thing that did amaze me was the charge they qoute for the oil
Labour was £47 , not so bad, Oil filter was £8 , cheap , microfilter £25 , i dont know on that one, never had one before
then the oil, 7 litres of Castrol Motorsport , £96 + vat How mucking futch !!! £113 for a fluid that is not even the best castrol sell apparently .
So i rang the guys at Opie oils who have always been great supplying the Silkolene Pro S i used on my Evos and they suggested Castrol Edge, which is better than the Motorsport as used by the dealers, and comes in 4 litre bottles , £75 +p&p for 8 litres, which leavves me with a litre for top ups
The guy at castle service said they have no problem in using my supplied oil.
Doe anyone else know of a better oil/option please or is the Edge a good option.
Many thanks, Nick
