Expecting to sleep like a kid at Christmas
Hi,
Exciting day for me today as I'm collecting my CSL which I've bought from toplad. I first saw the car over a month ago, but it's taken rather longer than expected to complete the sale. Long story short, I went to view the car and arranged an inspection (with http://www.vehicle-inspections.co.uk). Although that showed the car was generally sound, there was a small subframe crack. We agreed a sale on the basis that toplad sorted this issue. A West Yorkshire dealership sent off for authorisation but advised that they'd only cover half the cost. I'm a CSL newbie but I've read enough to know that's nonsense and toplad wasn't having it either. Thanks to the forum we know that Elms in Cambridge has a great reputation and has fixed this issue many times, so toplad took the car to them for repair. Needless to say, Elms said they'd do the work FOC, and I got the good news on Thursday that the car is fixed and ready for collection. Looking forward to reporting on the return journey... time to try to get some sleep. |

Congratulations - Isn't that they way of the world, you buy a car which is relatively local and you still end up going Darrrnnn Sarfffff to pick it up.
One thing you know for sure is that it's well sorted, Elms know what they're doing. (so I'm told) Now is the time to press 'Donate' pay your £10 and put your name down on the List of trippers. http://www.cslregister.com/forum/sho...t=8233&page=56 before the books are closed. PS: 'Ramsden15' is over your way.

What reason did BMW give for only paying for half? What is the mileage and registration year?
