there are none in fort william I know that much! Although the road up from glasgow to it is a must for the scenery, going up over rannoch moor and down into glencoe is unforgettable

this is just outside fort bill, bit excessive when you are mountaineering with the lads, might take the mrs one day

enjoy your trip Ian, there are some belting roads up there, some fookin crazy scottish overtaking too

Not sure if this is the part of Scotland you want to be in but I stayed here last summer & it was very nice.

Start your journey from Gleneagles hotel, and then you could be pretty much anywhere within a couple of hours. Or alternatively you could kip down in Derek's garage.

Any places or areas to look at? Been looking at The Roxburghe Hotel & The George. Anyone know these places or better? Sorry to hijack Yanto

You dont get any better than Gleneagles and its reasonable compared to London, All the golfer stay there for the open at St Andrews. Jackie Stewart works there, handy for some tution at knockhill. Happy to help with places to visit/drive if your looking for ideas
