My brand new CSL
So here are finally Pictures of my factory new, 9 year old CSL with just 33KM on the clock.
In the first Picture, look in the back ... an M1 with less than 50KM on the clock !!! Next to my CSL is a Z1 with 20KM on the clock It has been in a concrete basement with no windows, so just a Little dust. All the paint is fantastic, look at the exhausts, brand new metal with no smog or discolouring. Inside all the protective coverings are still there The only thing I have found is the small CSL logo on the side, it seems the clear plastic protecting the CSL logo has turned yellow, can somebody confirm this or maybe it is suppposed to look like this. |

That is my very big dilemma.
Yes it would keep it's value if I kept it this way. ... but having a CSL and not be able to hear the roar of the engine would be close to impossible. So right now I'm thinking just below 2.000KM a year, so in 5 years from now it would be just below 10.000KM I am fortunate enough to have a 997.2 C2S with all the Porsche Motorsports parts (Ceramic brakes, PDK, Sports Chrono, SPASM, LSD, bucket seats, HANS 6pt harness, roll Cage) for track days (just returned from the ring and did a 7.52:30 lap) and for daily drives I have BMW X1 2.0 Sdrive diesel, a 2006 V8 650 with all equipment and a Z4 2.5 with twin screw supercharger, drexler LSD, KW V3, Movit Big brake kit, Eisenmann exhaust, complete rebuild of all interior and exterior parts to Z4M, does 0-100 in 4.9s .... ... so I guess there is a chance I can keep the CSL low mileage ... but not driving it, not a chance in hell :-) |

To E46CSL
It is in Denmark, a official BMW dealer who's family has been race drivers for 3 generations and ran another M1 a Le Mans 24H back in the day. You can see some of their awards hanging on the back wall. Dad sr. simply collected an extra car of important BMW over the years, but jr. is selling out to reclaim space as the garage is pretty full. |

Lucky man. I would not drive the CSL, just take a year to think about it. You have toys enough. Good time at the 'ring. |
