Default E92 m3 @ Spa

The intro to this says its not standard either.

Is he doing it justice? Or is a CSL just that much quicker?

Discuss

Sy did low 2.50's on standard CSL shocks, the 888's are shit, but its still very slow and he is a racing driver?

I know the 888's are not too good, but that is a really slow time??

Thats my aim to smash that time if I take on project E92 M3. Mine was not too slow at croft and certainly held its own against duncs CSL. I have a suspiscion that the driver wasnt really doing it justice.

My thoughts are as follows:

1. His laps seem pretty committed, light on the brakes and carrying speed mainly, so time should be good.

2. The screen times do not match the YT clip times. The actual runnin time of the laps are 2:55 and 2:56 respectively.

3. I have seen a few e92 out there and none but the Schirmer black one have come close but I'd guess the ever age e92 time was very close to the CSL time around Spa (bhp prob making up for kg/handling)

My thoughts more generally are when I think to go e92 always then think I'd be disappointed. Even gts looks that way to me! Sort of wish csl wasn't the car it is then I could move on and forwards...

Just abut steady I think. 2.52 was my first go round Spa this year, I think even with standard set up sub 2.50 is realistic

Hi,

1625 Kgs with alleged 414 BHP
v 1380 Kgs with alleged 360 BHP
gives the same power to weight
ratio with the E46 being some
200 Kgs lighter.

Not much in the Aero/Drag between the
std cars either.

Put ''Arnie'' in the Passanger seat of
the E46 and getting under 3.00 will
be near on impossible, even with
AP, Intrax and so on.

E92 M3 has the best production 'M' engine
S65, ever built, but its in the wrong car.

Regards,

The Gorilla.

Just noticed that discrepancy between the times. Do you just think its an upload issue?

Which do you think is the right time then?

@Sy, what are you doing with an E92? or you just jesting.

Fat boy shlim managed a 2:54 with fat boy jim in his car last year - with areas in which he could improve too ( I talk a good lap it's just the driving bit I find tricky)

I would think that at spa there is no place to hide on those long straights and It should be fairly even over 1 lap, but over 10 the Csl will be miles ahead, due to E92 being in the pits for second/third set of Tyres....
