Default M3 CSL Rear Exhaust Box - Not Original

Forgive me, as it has been a while since my last confession. Missing my CSL these days and trying to console myself with 55mpg from the 320d just isn't the same.

I am looking to sell a back-box that I bought used formy CSL and never actually fitted. I paid £350 or so for it and the item does look to be good quality. I just changed my mind and kept my old car completely standard. I have just listed the box on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=400323702716

My reason for listing here and now, other than greater exposure, is the fact that I shall be at Silverstone on Monday, in my old 3.0csl (SFH3L) and if anyone is interested in seeing the item in the flesh I can easily pop it in the boot and bring it along.

Feel free to PM me if anyone is interested. Best wishes to one and all and perhaps see some of you on Monday - bring your umbrella!

£350 sounds cheap for a back box

Cheers Chaps.

I did look for the weight of the original back-box, but couldn't seem to find it anywhere easily. Mine is 12 kilos, as I jumped on and off the family scales with it this morning to find out!

I bought it when the opportunity came up to get one on the cheap and then never put it to use. As I say in my post, apart from the etched markings on the tips and the rear of the two cans, it looks exactly like the one in the thread below:

http://www.cslregister.com/forum/sho...+weight&page=2

Not trying to hijack anyone's thread at all, but mine is basically identical bar the branding. Brett has asked if I can bring it to Silverstone on Monday, so I shall chuck it in the boot of the old barge and anyone who wants to can have a look.

Exhaust now sold.

Brett, I hope it works well for you and gives the character boost you were looking for without too much noise.

A shame Silverstone was such a wash out today but nice to meet you and I hope you stayed awake on the run home.

There you go - the sun always shines on the righteous!

I hope it works out well. If it's too noisy then just cut those tips off and araldite them onto the standard pea-shooters
