Remote Reservoir Mounting...

Has anyone got any experience / tips for mounting remote reservoirs into the CSL?

i.e. which routes for the front and for the rears?

Fronts cable tie to the strut brace if space.

Rears the same if running strut brace. If not to under parcel shelf if long enough.

for routing the are two vents from rear arch to boot and between plastic arch liner panels in the front

Thanks Shane, the rears definitely will have enough length to run to the rear brace when it arrives.

Brilliant, i'll look into running them that way, didn't know about the rear arch vents, that saves me hacking something up, thanks Shim

Not sure if I would mount the reservoirs on the front strut brace, they will get fricking hot! maybe put them in the ecu bay and the brake reservoir bay....

I'll have a look when I get the car back next week, that could be a possibility.

Looking at some of the threads on M3 Forum, they have them mounted off brackets behind the headlights which looks like a neat solution, having said that, I'm not sure I'll have enough cable length to run them that far.

There will be enough for that as the gap in the inner arches comes up to suit.

Harder actually on one side to get it to the strutt brace.

I had mine of the brace and no heat issues.

That's good to know thanks Shim, i'll have a proper look once the car is back, I told them not to route the reservoirs into the car as I want to do it myself so I can place them exactly where I want them.

I'd like them near the front, but I am not sure how much hose length there is on the front shocks, so if needs be i'll put them on the strut brace area.

Having a look at some of the race cars in the states running Moton's they use the strut brace and have no issues either so at least it's a safe option.

Might have to see if I can get some brackets made up for them at a later date once I've found the spot where I want them, otherwise good old cable ties will have to make an appearance.

I might put the rear reservoirs either on the new strut brace or onto the side of the trim near the battery plastic panel / warning triangle locations as that might look quite nice.

My Nitrons came with ready made carbon fibre brackets for the front strutt brace

Ah yes, I know the ones you mean, they had some on the Exige they were building when I was up there the other week, I'll call them in a mo and make sure I get a set too
