Hi All,

Am I being naïve, to expect to find a CSL that has not had e.g. five, six, eight owners in eight years ??

It seems the majority of those for sale, have had lots of owners, who must have kept them for a very short time.

Is it a case of most CSL's have had lots of owners, due to people wanting to say “I’ve owned a CSL” then selling it on, or just, tracked them and move them on ??

One recent one, having done less than 20K, has had five owners ????

Just trying to find a low mileage one that has had one or two owners, preferably SB and with extended warranty.

I realise that lots of owners does not necassarily mean bad car, and a one owner could have been abused, but it would be against the norm.

they are out there, just be defenition those with less owners are less likely to be for sale

lets not forget these cars are 11 years old nearly and an owner every two years would not be strange at all, indeed id say its average for any car.

As Shimmy says they are out there. I'm the 2nd owner on mine with less than 30k so keep looking a good one will pop up eventually.

Just because it has had more owners doesn't make less good.

I guess the only reason to want it is if you want to sell on with less owners. If you intend to keep it then it makes no difference, not that I think it does anyway, certainly with the CSL

You could build an arguement that when someone sells CSL it gets that extra bit of tlc and when it becomes someones new p&j gets another round of anything it desires

Thanks for your comments, these are the comments I wanted, to help me understand the "mentality" of a CSL owner.

I did say "I realise that lots of owners does not necassarily mean bad car", but trying to get my head around, if they are everybodies p&j, why does nobody keep them very long ??

I suppose it can take some justifying keeping a car for a long time with very little use, I can do it but people can come under financial pressure and family pressure to move these things on and be sensible.

Also depends who owned it. I'm the fourth owner, but the third one from this forum and the first owner had it a number of years. History is key.
