My ol man has recently aquired a 640d M Sport - yet another to add to the growing collection (1825bhp worth). Its a fair beastie for a diesel and the torque is immense. He seems chuffed with and all the new toys.
One thing that is puzzling him however is the headlights. On neither dipped or full beam do then inside bulbs light. Is this the norm? Here's a snap from the phone. Wasnt sure when he told me he'd ordered white but seeing it in the flesh I like. I'll eventually do some sorta photoshoot. |

The '61 plate E90 320d I have at the moment is the same. No lights on the dash to tell you your lights are on, off , dipped been or otherwise. The thing is, even if you leave the light on (which I did

Worked it out. He took it in to dealer today and they explained the new system.
The inside bulbs come on when turning/ indicating left / right as additional visibilty. They also come one when accelarting, going up hills and other guff like that. I'm sure there's more but that's what's been relayed to me. In terms of the car, its fantastic. These new diesels are unreal and they sound well - for a derv anyway. I'm excited for the new M6 it should be lush. |
