Default Depreciation on an M6

After a few months of searching with a friend at work I am now interested in swapping the CSL to an M6, however are these machines going to hold prices well in a few years compared to the CSL? I bought the CSL for the driving experience and a future investment. But my concern is that if I buy an M6 that has been offered to me for £23k what will it be worth in years to come

Cheers
T

I don't think so. Personally, I think they'll continue to shit their value as:

1. High number about (compared to CSL)
2. V10 has (I believe) a percieved / known high maintenance cost and will bankrupt you if goes pop
3. Feckin ugly

I think they are great GT's and much car for the money, but price wise, I think they'll go the way of 840/850.

Buy with a warranty seems to be the advice .

Good luck !

Agree with Yanto on this. They will not hold there value like a CSL and you need deep pockets to run one.

+2 I agree with Ian for a change...

I would keep the CSL and stretch to getting the M6 as well if funds allow. You can then sell the M6 in 6 months after you've had your straight line fun and before it's value plummets too far lol!

Thanks for the quick advice guys.

I thought they would still plummet in price, the bonus of the deal was that he was putting a new BMW Warranty on it at £1900 for no extra charge.

But knwoing now that prices are still yet to fall, its not a great time to change I guess.

Running costs are high, but I only intend to use for fun similar to the CSL.

Thanks
Thomas

Yanto + Bounce + Glendog = 3

Ps. +1 = 4, ie I agree the M6 I think will be a money pit without a warranty and still relatively expensive with. Worst case is buy it and put it up for sale almost immediately whilst enjoying the initial buzz and sell as soon as possible with most of its warranty left.

Don't invest in airlines or buy an m6

I have also felt drawn to the mighty v10 but thankfully resisted when csl +40k and again at csl +20k.

Technically i think +1 means 'in addition to', so i think i can sleep soundly tonight knowing that Bounce and i were +1 & +2 in addition to Yanto's original observation...
