CSL at Wimbledon Carriage Co
Hello All,
New to the forum, I have wanted a CSL since they were released but somehow seemed to have not ended up in one. We have decided the misses Exige is going and a CSL will replace it Went to see the Black car at Wimbledon today and as a heads up the car has a standard M3 bumper and had its 1st service at 2020miles instead of 1200miles. Had a really good drive in the car and fell in love with it. Got to have one. We had a hiccup with the misses reaching the pedals as she is only 5'2" but I am hoping we either did not put the seat full forward or we can get some custom rails from VAC Motorsport or similar. Cheers Lee

Hi Lee,
I also had an Exige and now have a CSL.....would I go back.....no. Anyway the standard M3 bumper would be a concern for me..that doesn't make sense unless the owner damaged the original and put the cheaper M3 bumper on, but wouldn't imagine anyone doing that...the car would have to be very cheap as you would need to put the original back on plus I would be concerned as the hole in the original goes to the carbon fibre induction. WimbledonCarriage company....I seem to remeber them as Alfa specialist way back....Plenty of CSL's for sale at the moment so I think I would look around a bit first....Good luck. |

The Exige is a great car but its the climbing in and out that becomes tiring. We need something more practical also. I should have said that the problem was with the rear bumper. Your right they were an Alfa specialist but now do a lot of BMW and a bit of Porsche. They are right on my doorstep so it was a good opportunity to drive one and I am glad I did as I know that I need to have one now Cheers Lee

Welcome Lee
The seat should pull forward so your wife can drive it my wife can drive my CSL ok. The seat can go up and down as well but it is done with bolts. Hope you get a CSL they are great cars on and off track besure and get 1 with BMW warranty and you cant go wrong just make sure it is the full bme warranty and not just the 1 that covers the engine and drive train |
