Default Airbox & Throttle Housing Clean

Since resurrecting the CSL from winter storage this season, I had a couple of things on the 'To Do List'.

1. Oil & Oil filter change (4k miles before last one) Done
2. Check & clean Air Filter/ Airbox.

Air filter I relied on being changed on Inspection II, 4k miles ago. So I was hoping the previous one was no longer in there. Being hard to tell, I inspected and it looked fairly new tbh... So I gave it a blow out & quick clean.

Next was to clean the Airbox collector as, as per usual the normal sandstorm found inside.

When taking a further look through the 6x Airbox Trumpets in the Airbox Collector, I noticed the Throttle Housings & Butterfly Valves being filthy! So decided to take the Airbox completely off, allowing me access to clean the Airbox Collector with ease (being off the car) and to reach the all 6x Throttle Housing.

When noticing how dirty they were I thought Id snap away and share with you fine fellows.

Airbox Removed.

First Housing cleaned with a high evaporating aerosol cleaner.

And so on...

All Cleaned.

Airbox Collector cleaned with AS G101

Re-united with Throttle Body.

Job Done...

Oh yes, like you wouldn't believe! Removing the dirt from the edge of the housing is equivalent to getting it bored out! Woooosshhh

For the:

Throttle Housings - I used a Brake Cleaner/ cut down bristles on small brush/ New MF cloths (no fibres left behind).
Airbox, general engine bay - AutoSmart G101 (Best APC available IMO)/ detailing brush/ wash off.
