Default tyre upsize causing problem?

hello,

as alot of you know im having trouble with my smg and clutch slur! my car has done 30,000 miles! its only been happening this last month or so.

it first started happening after i had my tires upsized from standard to 275/30/19 back and 245/35/19 front.

could this be causing the wheel speed sensors and all that technical equipment to be playing havoc on my software and confusing it?

ive been out with a bmw technician this week and he couldnt put his finger on it and kept pushing for a clutch. i personally dont beleive it will be though at 30,000

the first 15k was owned by a lady and i picked it up on 23k and ive only ever done it once! so unless the bloke done lc quite alot then maybe it could be!

according to the technician there is no possible way to tell how many lc's have ever been done!

forgot to mention i also done my one and only launch control about a week after my tire upsize!!

please please give me a hand on this otherwise im gunna have to sell her its driving me mad!

Did you do the reset procedure when you change the tyres?

Has it had an SMG reset and teach in?

I don't understand what you are saying about 30k miles - mine had a clutch at 10k and another at 20k, both times the slurring went away, I'm not convinced that it couldn't have been fixed by another method but it certainly does the trick. Weirdly the one at 20k didn't ever start slurring and is still in the car 20k+ miles later....

The number of LCs is stored according to the only BMW dealer I'd ever trust with this stuff, apparently dealers can't see it but when they send the ECU offload data to Germany they can tell?

In the manual it says that you should do the knock it into neutral and pull both paddles to reset SMG

This isn't one I've of either, unless it's what Tom was describing as a soft clutch reset is it?

I think Tom was talking about the DIS stuff?

This is in the manual as the process you should follow after changing the tyres.
