Default Sat Nav, whats the options?

I see BMW in their wisdom put an ashtray in and no cigarette lighter

When you go on distance journeys, Ring Trips and abroad with your CSL etc what are the options, what do you guy's do with good old mr TOM TOM?

Do you hard wire things?

Mine has a 12v point in Dan, so no issues with the tomtom. Try removing the plastic blanking plug

They all have cigarette lighters

well the all have 12 volt outlets next to the space where the ash tray fits, just pull out the plastic round plug.

And "hey press to" a 12 volt power supply, this is also used for the electric tyre pump which is in the boot.

Tomtom 730 plugged into that 12V outlet and stuck low in the centre of the windscreen to mininise visibility loss.

BTW, how can people drive with one stuck in the centre or close to the rear view mirror withthe cable dangling down? Clowns!
