Default Wanted: CSL

As I'm officially 'back' on the search for a CSL I thought I would launch a thread and let those people considering selling know.

I know these cars are difficult to find in decent condition for the price I want to pay, but it's all I can afford comfortably so if I can't find a decent one then c'est la vie.

I'll be viewing as many as possible before making a decision as this is the start of the process (only seen them parked up, nevermind even been in one yet!) so if anyone knows, or if you are thinking of selling, I am looking for ANY COLOUR with extras preferred plus warranty if possible. I have around 23k burning a hole in my pocket as I've already sold my car.

If you've seen one and think it might be worth a shot, or are thinking of selling your cherished example, please let me know so it can come to a loving new home

Thanks!

I would find another £4k at least for a good car or go for a really nice late M3 mate, £23k will only buy you a high miler or tatty example

I don't think that's necessarily true. Your of course going to compromise - Jeff has a nice car for sale although the mileage does keep holding me back. There's another car that has maaaaaany owners, although people keep telling me it shouldn't put me off.

I think with a bit of luck I should be able to get a decent condition, it's just the compromise. Plus, there's always someone looking to get rid very quickly and I'm in a good position to pull the trigger instantly on the right car. I could go up a smidge but nowhere near that amount.

some of us might be trying to sell our 'tatty high mile examples' soon

i have to say i enjoyed my CSL much more as an everyday car, not washed and run well but looked after

now it sits in the garage for 13 days and then treated to a trip out you do get that 'wash it and clean it and then worry about it getting dirty or tripping the next 000mile marker on the guage

you took me wrong.

Tatty and high mileage do not always go hand in hand. In fact when I was looking, the higher mileage cars were sometimes the better examples.

Mine may be for sale, standard for 23k-24k ish 46k miles, Mines pretty good adam,

The csl is a hard car to price, I think its just a case of right buyer, right time. I think your car is well priced, hold out for your asking price, it will sell for it, the problem arises after people dont sell after 1 week then they drop the price, then another week goes by, they drop it even further, landslide, yes you will sell anything cheap guaranteed, but they would probably have sold for asking price with a bit of patience. Right buyer right time.

I will advertise mine and my price will stay firm, why? Like you I DONT need to sell.

Good luck with your sale and csl cup next year
