How to tell if your CSLs age

BMW Motorsport has told me all the CSLs ever built from the chassie numbers.
The last 5 numbers start from 98001 so you can tell if your car is an early build or a late build car

My car is 98305 so it is 1 of the first 1500 built cars i know BMW have 98001 in the bmw museum

Wasn't there a big debate about this a while back on the "other forum" where it was stated that using the last digits on the chassis wasn't reliable, as the CSLs were taken off the build line at different times for different specs ect, so they call came out at different times not according to the chassis code ...

Mine would be a close relative to yours then Mark ... I've got 98237

Yes, it was confirmed in a communication from BMW.

FWIW, mine is lower than 98060

Mine is 98128, registered Sept 2003, so quite an early one.
