Default Traction settings on track

Just wondering what mode you all use on track?

Is the general theme to just switch it completely off or do you keep it in M track mode?

I must admit even on the road i have it completely off ( merc amg v8 kompressor back ground) so im partial to a bit of sideways action.
But i am yet to sample it on the track( roll on oulton park 1st august)/

Are they quicker in m track or traction completely off, i know i think it will be quicker with traction off completely.

Also what gear mode do you guys use on track?

Many thanks

Lawsy

I'm a fan of M-track usually and find it is good in damp & wet conditions too. I occasionally turn it all off if it's nice and dry.

M-track - 'S5'
DSC Off - 'S6'

I once did a lap at Spa having forgotten to switch to M-track. I realised what i had done half way round as i was 'fighting' the car into every corner and it was reigning me back every few seconds!

On road i drive in M-track too only leaving DSC fully on if its pissing it down or if i am behaving myself...

I agree with Glendog I usually use M-track on track as i find it helps smooth my driving out, if i can do a smooth fast lap without it coming on i'm happy plus i like the thought that it is there to help me out if needs be. I know i need to get a bigger set of balls and switch it off but i'm working up to that lol

On a wet track i usually leave the traction fully on.

On the road it is left on unless i'm having a play then i use M-track.

It will always be up to the driver as every one has a differant driving style and speed i always run with it fully off on track S6

Unless it is pissing it down then it is M on

On the road i run S3 and traction ON for a smooth gear change ( Getting Old )

i normally run M track in the wet or damp conditions and then all off in the afternoons if dry

just trying to cut down the risk of a prang!

If someone will only run DSC ON or M-Track ON in wet conditions, why run DSC OFF in dry conditions?
What do they gain from DSC being OFF in dry - is it purely eliminating the TC that can kick in between gear-shifts in a straight line, or is it something else?

Not aimed at any one person, just a general discussion...

DSC off and S6 the best settings in the dry without question. With DSC or M Track on its like driving half the car. In the wet, on Cups get the lot on!!

On track i run with everything off whether it's wet or dry.

Tried M-track in the wet at croft and went a little quick into a corner, back end stepped out so jabbed the throttle to catch it but there was nothing there. Ended up spinning so went back to basics and had a ball for the rest of the day
