Replacement engines are a funny thing. To some, it is a big turn off, to others it's a Brucey Bonus due to the lower mileage.

As long as it had the "2nd" 1200 mile service, there should be no issue.

Not at all providing its been done correctly.

A big must have though would be the correct paperwork to show why / where and who had done it.

Wouldn't put me off but the price would need to reflect the engine change.

So it is worth more cash then

I would think it would not change the value but is a bonus to the new buyer
as the engine is new so very little miles

I think I would still buy it. It is a bonus really and as long as it was done under warranty

It should not change value Mark without a doubt, but unfortunatly it you see any for sale with new engine they do tend to be a little cheaper as jo public are usually wary about why even if the reason is genuine. Back in the distant past I purchased a Lotus Esprit from a main dealer which had a new engine....had no issues with the car but paid 6k less than ones with original engine and when I came to sell I sold for less than the going rate.
