Default Air Filter Options For CSL..

I'm currently looking at all the Air filters for the CSL on the market.

As far as i know so far there are the.

1, OEM BMW filter
2, ITG filter
3, Pipercross filter

Does anyone know of any other Manufacturers?????

Also anyone used the Pipercross filter? Can you give us a report on it?? fit in airbox etc.

I have had a bad experience with the ITG as i has fowled up in about 6 months and the fit in the airbox was poor to say the least.

Any input appreciated....

I would think when bmw made the CSL if there was a better filter they would have fitted it after all the CSL is all about performance

There must have been a dodgy batch from ITG as both me and Baz had the 'back to front' filters and yours didn't fit well!

My new ITG fits perfectly snugly however - and is even the right way round

BMC is a bloody good brand and a bloody good filter - there's really no reason to go with anything else to be honest ... Stick with OEM

I might even play up with ITG first see what they will do for me. My Mech said the filter was filthy and i should change it straight away.

He has to clean it and re oil and re use.

TBC....

Certainly recommend cleaning them regularly, they get covered pretty quickly with the intake being so low. ITG's fit nice and snug so can only assume there was a fault?
