Default Removing front number plate

Chaps,

I've decided to remove the front plate as I think it looks better without it. I've removed the two screws which 'appear' to hold the surround on but it's not clear to me how I now remove the surround. I am guessing it's a case of levering it off but I don't want to take the chance of scratching the bumper without knowing exactly what I am doing.

Help!

James.

The surround should have its own screws on it ??

Depends if someone has messed about with it already before you , but mine had 3 screws holding the surround on

you might be lucky and they havn't screwed it to your bumper - can you not see where the screws should be?

Note part numbers 17 here. Those should be the only screws holding it in place, maximum of 3 really. Two top left and right, maybe one in the middle.
Pull out at the top and then down. There are wee lips on the bottom edge holding it into the bumper. I've had mine off half a dozen times recently after getting my bumper repaired

you will have to get the screw holes filled and the bumper repainted for a proper job mate....

What have you guys found to be the best way to attach your front number plate to the bumper once the surround has been removed?
